Please join us on Friday, October 30th at 5:30pm for an author panel event. Local authors Douglas Wynne, Christopher Golden, Jennifer Anne Gordon, Bracken MacLeod, and Natalie Kikić will discuss, why horror now?
What is it about horror that is speaking to a new audience in this moment? We might expect people to turn away from darkness for their entertainment in troubled times, but the current horror revival defies that expectation. So, what do these new perspectives on old fears have to offer in an uncertain era? And is there something therapeutic or comforting to be found in the shadows?

A HAUNTING EVENT WITH NATALIE KIKIĆ
Meet the Croatian-American author Natalie Kikić for a conversation about her book The Haunting of Lavender House, published by Park Row, HarperCollins. The genre is Gothic Romance and the restaurant will be fully decorated in the haunting theme.
For a ticket of $45, each individual will get a glass of Croatian wine and the restaurant will also prepare a Croatian-inspired menu of a few buffet-style, light bites following the conversation with the author. More food and beverages will be available on site at an additional charge. The book can also be purchased from the author at the event.
The first five people who purchase tickets will get a special treat at the event. NEFC (New England Friends of Croatia) will email you to confirm.
